Bumbles is a family owned and run independent garden centre in the heart of the weald of Kent.
Following on from his father Jeremy, who purchased Bumbles in 2007, William took over the business in 2017 and alongside a fantastic team has continued to not only grow the business but remain an important local ‘hub’ for home and garden lovers, both in the local community and surrounding areas.
Whether it is for guidance, advice or a helpful hand picking out the perfect plants for you and your home, Bumbles is here to help bring your home & garden dreams to life.
Our Mission
Bumbles ethics and values centre around exactly what we are at our core as a family owned business.
We offer a friendly, welcoming and inclusive service for all, whether you are an experienced gardener or just getting started, we are happy to help and pride ourselves on offering the optimum customer service to all of our customers.
Our goal is to always source and offer at great value, the best plants and home & garden products available to you. And being situated in the heart of the countryside in Kent, we of course have nature and sustainably protecting it at the heart of our business decisions at all times.
Our Story
Jeremy fulfilled his dream of owning his own Garden Centre in 2007, when on the 21st of March he purchased Bumbles.
Over the coming years Jeremy, alongside his son William, would continue to work hard to bring their vision for what Bumbles could be to life, adding a peaceful coffee shop for customers to enjoy on site, expanding the plant area so that they could stock all the wonderful ranges of plants they could source through their families long history with the garden trade, both in the U.K and across Europe, and expanding both the space and offering for home and garden accessories in store too.
Following Jeremy’s illness in 2017 and subsequent passing in late November 2021, Will firstly took over the business and then alongside the wonderful staff at Bumbles, not only continued but grew the business further, catering even more to the wants, needs and expectations from customers, both old and new.
To this day Bumbles continues with both William and a long standing ‘core’ team supporting him with the same work ethic and desires to be the best Garden Centre they can be, that Jeremy had laid the foundations for many years ago.

Director
After learning under the guidance of my father Jeremy the day to day runnings of Bumbles, I took over the business in October 2017 and have continued to uphold and build on Dad’s success and legacy within the garden retail world. I am passionate about providing a great shopping experience for everyone who visits us at Bumbles and also enjoy creating a happy, fun and hard working, work environment for the team here.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, music & sports.

Office & Shop Manager
I started here at Bumbles over 10 years ago under Jeremy Homewood. I have a passion for animals with a BSc in Animal Behavioural Science.
With Jeremy’s encouragement and supportive nature, I also found a passion for retail and business. You can find me in the office!
